Chad Jordan, Founder & Chief Consultant
Chad Jordan is the author of Shut Up & Give? and ReThink Missions, as well as the co-founder & CEO of Arrow Global Capital, an impact investing platform focused on small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Having seen firsthand the failure of traditional, cyclical approaches to international development & economic innovation in nations like Haiti, Chad is committed to developing approaches that look into the future and concentrate on long-term, sustainable solutions. By enabling men and women to lift themselves out of poverty one day at a time through the free flow of knowledge and capital, the Cornerstone team believes lasting changes will finally be achieved.
With extensive field research and consulting experience in the regions of East, South & West Africa, South Asia, Central America, and Europe, Chad has established himself as a leader in the movement to find sustainable global answers to some of the largest issues facing our time; he has also comprised a vast network of international development contacts.
Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in international policy and a master’s degree in international development from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He also serves on the board of directors for training4changeS and the Tanz East Africa Foundation.
In his down time, Chad is an adventure junkie – from rafting the Nile to skiing the Alps, from running marathons to creating memories with family.
One of Chad’s favorite quotes: “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming…Wow, what a ride!”
Tara Jordan, Managing Director
In addition to serving as Cornerstone’s Managing Director, Tara is also the co-founder of Arrow Global Capital. Tara handles our budget, communications, travel planning, project support, and is our intern coordinator. (She also happens to be Chad’s sister.)
With a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Oklahoma, Tara Jordan specializes in various aspects of international law, global communication, and sociocultural development in the context of state policy. Tara is also fluent in Spanish and has worked as a consultant and interpreter on several development-related projects in Central and South America; her vast network of contacts within Latin America is yet another asset at Cornerstone’s disposal.
While stateside, Tara lends her language skills and extensive knowledge of human rights law to various organizations working to combat Human Trafficking domestically and abroad. When she’s not working, you can find Tara chasing the sunset, gardening with her mom, or catching a local concert with friends.
